I love finding cute tops that, just alone, can really make the whole outfit. Then, all you have to do is pair it with some basics you already have in your closet – whether shorts, skirts, jeans, pants, etc – and you’re done. Even better, you can mix and match the top with these different basics to create a variety of outfits.
That’s why I love this ‘Mercer’ top form Marissa Webb.
It has a delicate sheer lace yoke at the top. Then it ruffles and gathers into a paperbag style bodice. So feminine. There is also a ladylike silhouette keyhole back button at the nape.
The garment is made from durable, tightly women cotton fabric called poplin. The clean 100% cotton feels just flawlessly superb. The white is crisp and clean.
The shirt I’m wearing is a size XS and it measure about 24″ from shoulder to hem.
This Marissa Web ‘Mercer’ top isn’t cheap at $198, but it’s an investment into a shirt that’s a stand alone. It’s unique enough to get noticed, but subtle enough to last season after season and not go out of style. Plus, it’s so versatile as you can see. You can pair it with a variety of bottoms you already have to create several different outfits.
