Everywhere you look this Fall, it’s all about the cold shoulders. Why is this trend hugely popular? Shoulders are the one area of the body that is universally flattering for all. It provides just a hint of skin and sexiness to any blouse, chunky knit, or sweater dress. It’s also a style that looks good on all ages – whether you’re 20, 40, or 60. Indeed, what a beautiful part of the body to show off.
This Open-Shoulder Dress from H & M
is a fitted, ribbed jersey dress with cut-out shoulders and long sleeves. Unlike other open-shoulder dresses seen this Fall, this one does not have a bulky turtleneck, but rather a classic jewel neckline. This helps elongate a shorter neck, provides more breathability, and allows you to wear this dress in warmer temperatures. For colder weather, simply throw on a scarf for added warmth around the neck, and add a jacket or coat.
One small drawback is that the dress is unlined and the fabric is not super think, so you may see the lining of bra straps and undergarments. However, overall it’s a great deal for just $50. And I really love this pretty beige color.
The dress is a mini, but for my petite stature, it fell right above my knees – perfect for me to pair it with knee high boots. For regular height or tall women, it’ll run shorter and would like great with over-the-knee boots, plus or minus a great pair of stockings.
